The ESC will cut off when its internal temperature reaches about 145 degrees
c. If the ESC cuts off from over temperature it will flash a red and yellow
light. Green and yellow is Low Voltage Cutoff. If it is cold out batteries
cannot hold their voltage well under load. In these conditions a short run
with a low voltage cutoff will warm the batteries up so that they can hold
their voltage and then you can run until the battery is discharged without
problems. This is common in the winter. If you keep the batteries from going
below 20c they won't need to be warmed up with a short run to no cutoff at

Subject: Question about sidewinder 3.
Hi. Does sidewinder 3 have temperature cutoff? If yes, what is that
temperature of the cutoff? Sometimes my car stops until little time pasts
minutes) and I turn it off-on. After that I can ride about 20 minutes (so it
isn`t battery cutoff). After car stops servo is working, but it doesn`t
move. So I think may be it is temperature cutoff (the strange is that on the
street is -3C, and I am riding in the snow).
Also I have noticed such a bug (on last and previous firmwares).
Sidewinder is programmed Reverse type - Proportional rev.lockout. If I press
reverse earlier when 2 second pasts after stop, then reverse doesn`t work at
all (even if I wait about 1 minute), so I should press forward for a second,
then wait for 2 seconds and only after that reverse working.
